I took Brooke to the Arboretum on her birthday. It was a beautiful day. A little warm, about 86. It was hard to get photos of her because she was constantly moving, but I think I got some cute shots. Of course with a cute baby and beautiful flowers, how can the photos not be good?
We were invited to celebrate the 4th of July on a neighbor’s boat on Lake Waconia. They also invited Aaron, Lizzie, and Brooke. Brooke was not a fan of wearing the life jacket. She stayed up a 1 1/2 hours past her be time but didn’t make it to the fireworks. She slept through ALL of them. We had 2 beautiful weddings to go to in July. One was in Chicago and Danielle was the matron of Honor. Chris had the Chaska Tri in there too. CHeck out the photos
June was busy with two Triathlons for Chris and a visit to Milwaukee over father’s day. Chris and I took Brooke and Gibson on quite a few walks at Baylor park where Brooke rides on Chris’s back and Gibson runs free. They both love it. Aaron and I took Brooke to the beach for the first time today. She did very well with the cool water and the sand. Can’t believe the summer is 1/3 over. I have been enjoying the wonderful weather we have been having this year.
Chris did the first of four triathlons for this summer in Buffalo on June 6th. He had a goal time of 1:15 and 19 seconds. He did it in 1:15. He was happy with that. It was a cooler day and that was a help with the bike and the run. Gibson always enjoy always enjoys going to the parks and meeting all the other dogs. Next one is in Waconia on June 27th.
Our whole family-six adults, two dogs, and a baby, went to Door County, WI for the weekend. We rented a log cabin in Sturgeon Bay. We took the ferry to Washington Island where Dani and Justin ran the 5.2 miles to Schoolhouse Beach. Aaron and Chris biked, and Lizzie, Brooke, and I drove the truck. We bought a lunch from the Danish Mill Deli on the island. That afternoon got the dogs and went to Cave Point County Park and enjoyed the shore and the sea caves. We also went to Cana Island Lighthouse, Peninsula State Park, and had lunch and shopped in Fish Creek. Some of the photos are in the gallery
It was Lizzie’s first mother’s day. We had a BBQ at our house. Steak and yummy salads. Afterward, Aaron took me to pick out a hanging plant as my mother’s day gift. We then went to visit Chris’s parent’s and had an ice cream cake with them. The weather was beautiful. I just missed Danielle !! Check out some photos in the gallery.
Chris and I took a quick trip to Milwaukee to pick up some furniture Dani and Justin were giving to aaron and Lizzie. It was in the mid forties and a beautiful day for a hike at a park by the lake. Check out a few photos.
Brooke ELizabeth Chinander was dedicated to the Lord on Sunday, January 31st at Living rock Church in Norwood, MN. The beautiful white dress she wore was a gift from her great-grandpa Cochran. She had many family members and friends attend and come to her home afterwards. God’s blessings on your precious life Brooke!
Aaron and Lizzie had a photo shoot at the Photography Guild in St Paul for family Christmas photos. Kevin and Kathy had given Brooke a beautiful red dress and they chose that for their photos. They also had to take some with them all in their vikings outfits. Brooke shows us all how she loves to stick out her tongue. It is out in half the photos!
The snow storm that we had for 3 days in MN changed a few Christmas plans, some for the better. We all made it thru and stayed safe. We celebrated Christmas eve at Chris’s parents on the 23rd which allowed both Aaron and Lizzie and Dani and Justin to come. Christmas eve was a quiet day for Chris and I. We went to church in town and on an evening walk. Christmas day Aaron and Lizzie and Dani and Justin came at 9:00 for gifts, breakfast, and a game of Dirty Bingo. It was fun to have Brooke with us. Aaron and Lizzie left mid afternoon and we watched a movie, took a hot tub, had a wonderful dinner, and played games. Dani and Justin beat Chris and I at 3 games of Sequence and Justin beat us all at Phase 10. On the 26th we went to my dad’s for a morning get together with my family. Check out the photos.
