Mothers day. Our first as a family. We spent the morning with Aaron’s mom having lunch and celebrated with them. We went to Aaron’s grandma’s house and celebrated mothers day with them also. We peeked in at Lizzie’s mom’s work to say hello, since she had to work.

This year was brooke’s first easter. Daddy (aaron) had to work all day. Brooke and Lizzie went to Grandma Chinander’s for lunch and brought food home for dad. We also went to Grandpa Cochran’s place on saturday before easter to celebrate with them. Daddy had to work that day also.
She wasn’t feeling well. Very fussy and had fluid in her ears. Sad. Didn’t let anyone hold her.

Brooke is 8 months now!! She is 16.2 lbs and 27 inches. She is still working on crawling. She has started to pull herself up and walks around furniture. She gets better at it every day. She has 2 teeth on the bottom in the middle. She loves to be on her feet and walking around things. She is also very verbal. Screams and talks at her best bud, Gibson the dog. Talks to everyone walking by while out at stores too.

Brooke decided it was time for her to be mobile and started crawling the end of Feb/beginning of march. She doesn’t do a normal crawl, she does more of a army crawl. She mainly uses her arms and pushes off on her legs.

Brooke had her first tooth break threw today. It is the bottom, middle (right side). She is very sensitive to it still and won’t let anyone touch her gums. We are very excited. It is sad that she isn’t my baby girl anymore. But I am excited for her. She is growing up!

Well. She is moving and moving. She started crawling the end of February and never looked back. She is crawling or what we call the army crawl. She is starting to babble a lot more also. She knows that if she goes up to a person, they will pick her up or stand her up. She loves to have her hands help above her head so she can walk.

They are holding hands. I love that.

She figured out that she can go underneath the coffee table. She pushed everything out that was there. There isn’t anything there anymore.

This past saturday we went and got her six month photos taken. Maria, a co-worker from the St. Paul Photographers guild took them. She is an amazing photographer and does a great job with Brooke. I found out while I was there that she will be leaving the guild at the end of February. We talked though and she said she will be available to take her nine month photos in May. I am not sure where they will be taken though. As far as the photos go, Brooke looked awesome. She won’t take her hands out of her mouth though. So most of the photos are showing that. Darn teeth.

Brooke is already at the six month milestone. She is doing great. She is amazing us daily as most kids do. She can sit up on her own and is getting very good at it. She started sleeping through the night. We aren’t sure if this is going to continue or if she is in a growth spurt. She is also teething, I think she will have teeth within the next couple of weeks. She loves toys and playing with anything she can get her hands on. Getting her dressed sometimes seems impossible with her wiggling all over. She is getting good at picking up toys and switching them from one hand to another. She loves her pacifier. She knows what it is and picks that up before any other toy. She weighed in at 14.10 lbs and 26.5 inches. I know she will continue to grow but she just looks bigger every day.

We decided to dedicate Brooke at our church. She was dedicated at Living Rock Church on January 31st. She looks gorgeous. It was an amazing time to have friends and family come and enjoy a time of dedicating our beautiful daughter to God and that we will focus on his to raise her. Afterwards we had a potluck at our house. We enjoyed some good food and conversation.

Well. As you probably can see Brooke is getting big. She weighed in at 14 lbs and 25 inches. She loves to talk and show off her voice. Also, still loves her feet and fingers in her mouth along with anyone else’s fingers if they will let her. She is getting really good at rolling over and over. Starting to sit up on her own, needs a little assistance but is getting better everyday. She likes her solids - rice cereal and bananas so far. She started out at 2 tablespoons and is up to 5 tablespoons.
